About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Come along with me for a 7-day cruise up the Mississippi river on American Melody... the latest river cruise ship from American Cruise Lines. We start at the Four Seasons hotel in St Louis, and then hop on a bus for a tour of the city, before heading over to where the ship is waiting for us in Alton, Illinois. On day 2, we visit Hannibal, Missouri... the boyhood home of Samuel Clemens, also known as Mark Twain... the author of The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn. On day 3, we had a fun day in Fort Madison, Iowa... visiting a replica of the historic fort and trading post that the city's name comes from. I also take a tour of a maximum-security penitentiary, explore a classic Santa Fe caboose at the train station, and stumble on to a barbecue joint with some great brisket. After our ship sets sail from Fort Madison, we go through a set of locks at one of the more than 20 dams we'll pass on the river during this week. On day 4, we're in Davenport, Iowa... but I was feeling lazy and decided not to go on any tours. Instead, I stayed on the ship and enjoyed the sunshine on deck while watching trains go over a bridge on the river. On day 5, it's Dubuque, Iowa... where I put the drone in the air for some shots of the area, and show you a very unusual feature of our cruise ship. On day 6, we go on an amazing adventure in Winona, Minnesota... in search of bald eagles in the trees along the Mississippi. I was hoping to get a photo or short video of an eagle... and I got so much more than I dreamed of! Finally, on day 7, we ended our 400 mile cruise in Red Wing, Minnesota... where I had a lot of fun flying my drone to get some aerial shots of the ship and the city. American Cruise Lines is a company specializing in all-inclusive small-ship cruising to unique destinations within the USA... on American-made ships, with American crew members. Demand for these cruises within the USA, which do not even require a passport, has been soaring... causing American Cruise Lines to embark on a major expansion of their fleet in order to meet the demand. They are currently introducing a new ship to the fleet every four months, and plan to continue doing so for the next several years at least.
