Anthem of the Seas: Bayonne, NJ Departure
YouTube Video Description↓
On April 17th, 2017 the second Quantum Class cruise ship, the Anthem of the Seas, brought her winter season to a close as she departed at 3PM for her final voyage down to the Caribbean. After a brief delay for some cargo ship traffic in the area she finally departed from her home at the Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne NJ. On her way out she passes under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge before sailing by Coney Island. With a 3PM departure time the sights of NYC and the area around it are visible for the full departure. Shortly after passing Coney Island an NYPD helicopter met the ship and took several very close sweeps past and around the ship before going on their way. As she finished her departure and prepared for open water the pilot departed through the use of a Pilot Boat, but was also met by a larger Pilot Ship to help coordinate operations from out at sea. 12 Night April 17th, 2017 Southern Caribbean Sailing Itinerary: Day 1: Bayonne, NJ (4/17/17 from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM) Day 2: Day at Sea (4/18/17) Day 3: Day at Sea (4/19/17) Day 4: San Juan, Puerto Rico (4/20/17 from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) Day 5: Philipsburg, St. Maarten (4/21/17 from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM) Day 6: St John's, Antigua (4/22/17 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Day 7: Fort-de-France, Martinique (4/23/17 from 8:00 PM to 5:00 PM) Day 8: Bridgetown, Barbados (4/24/17 from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Day 9: Basseterre, St. Kitts (4/25/17 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) Day 10: Day at Sea (4/26/17) Day 11: Day at Sea (4/27/17) Day 12: Day at Sea (4/28/17) Day 13: Bayonne, NJ (4/29/17 from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
