Anthem of the Seas: Labadee, Haiti Medical Evacuation, Arrival, & Departure on May 9th, 2018

On May 9th, 2018 the Anthem of the Seas made a stop at Royal Caribbean's original private destination of Labadee Haiti. With a 9am arrival it gave guests a full day of sunshine on the beaches. Unfortunately for one guest that day didn't end as planned. As everyone was awaiting the departure a medevac swung past the solarium to land on the pier just in front of the ship. As the ship team worked with the shoreside team and the medevac team to prepare the passenger to be taken away the Anthem was forced to delay her departure. Eventually at 4:57, 30 minutes later than announced, but still 3 minutes earlier than the official schedule time the Anthem of the Seas started moving away from the pier. At the same time the medevac took off to take the passenger to a hospital over the mountains.
