If you're planning a trip to Genoa, this is a must-see family attraction! The Aquarium of Genoa, or the Acquario di Genova in Italian, is the largest aquarium in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe. It's located in the Porto Antico or Old Port area of Genoa, close to many other tourist attractions. We were looking for things to do in Genoa during our cruise stop and the Aquarium was just a short walk from the cruise port. As one of the largest aquariums in the Mediterranean, there are lots of great things to see with sea life from all over the world. You'll find sharks and reefs in the Tropical Seas zone, dolphins and jellyfish in the Temperate Seas zone, seals and penguins in the Cold Seas zone, iguanas and other reptiles in the Tropical Forests zone and even manatees and piranha in the Tropical Fresh Waters zone. It's a really great aquarium! If you're looking for things to do in Genoa with kids, the Aquarium of Genoa is ideal.
