Happy Birthday Mrs. Karnes! Let the celebrations begin! Our video this week is all about Birthday celebrations! The day begins with traveling down to the Clearwater docks to book a Parasailing Adventure! Due to Covid restrictions, there had to be two people who know each other to go parasailing. Luckily Miss Teresa stepped up so this dream could come true! She is a good and adventurous friend! After our reservations to parasail were made, we had about an hour to wait. The night before this birthday we had seen an autonomous vehicle driving around Clearwater. So, no surprise, we went in search of this vehicle to see if we could get our first ride! After a short walk, we spotted the autonomous vehicle and boarded for a ride! Beep at the Beach:PSTA is responsible for bringing this autonomous vehicle to Clearwater. AVA, which stands for Autonomous Vehicle Advantage, will be in Clearwater for three months. It operates along South Gulfview Boulevard, next to the world-famous Clearwater Beach. AVA uses an array of sensors outside of the vehicle providing 360-degree view of the environment. There is however a "copilot" serves as an ambassador for all riders. I will say that the ride was interesting and I would recommend giving it a try. But I do think it was a smidge misleading to say it was autonomous and there was a "driver" on board! It was finally time to go back for our reservation to go parasailing! Neither of us had ever ben parasailing so there was a little apprehension. However, it was soon gone and replaced by excitement as we headed out. After a safety briefing they suited us up and headed out into the bay to the ocean! The parasailing was wonderful!!!! It wasn't scary or hard. You really just sit back and enjoy the ride! There is a little footage from the GoPro as well so you can see the view of the beach from 450 feet up! Lunch was at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill right on the beach! I love this place and will always vote to eat there! After a little pool time, back at the condo, we got ready for our dinner cruise on the StarLite Majesty Dining Cruise. The cruise offered some of the best views of the coastal waterfront in Clearwater. They offer dinner, dancing and dessert! We had the BEST time ever! It might have been because we were celebrating with friends, in Florida, and it was a birthday! The views were great! The sunset was amazing and seeing the waterfront at night was beautiful! If you get the chance to do this, you should! It was the BEST birthday ever! But, I do have many other birthdays to come, so we will see if it get topped! Thank you for watching this video!
