Breaking Cruise News! The CDC ends their COVID Program enforcement as of July 18th 2022. Today, the CDC is officially out of the cruise ship protocol enforcement game, and the cruise lines will now be able to manage and enforce their health protocols on their own with respect to COVID to maintain the health of their passengers and crew. This is a huge step in the resumption of normal, pre-pandemic operation of the cruise lines. Cruise passengers and the cruise lines will be able to self determine what is appropriate to maintain a healthy cruise experience. I'm sure we will see cruise lines make alterations in the near future but now that the CDC is out of the enforcement game, we must be diligent to understand the line's health protocols because now that a standard policy id not in place we are sure to see some variance. It's up to us to understand the requirements of the line we are traveling when they publish any changes. Also we must remember cruise lines make international ports, so now that the CDC has changed there requirements, it does not mean all countries will drop their requirements on the cruise ships visiting their ports as well.
