YouTube Video Description

Hey sailors Being able to have a long term career working onboard a cruise ship isn’t something that occurs to people, however it is possible but it depends on your circumstances. When I started working on ships I thought I would do a few contracts and then go home and get a “real job”, but after doing it for four years I now know that it can be a “real job” if you want it to be. There are two reasons people work on cruise ships, for the money or for the experience. Usually people from the Western world do it for the experience, because due to the exchange rate we can earn a similar amount working on land, where as people from Asia, for example, where the currency isn’t as strong, do it for the money because it enables them to earn significantly more than if they were to get a job in their home country. Like working your way up in any job, this one will also require you to make sacrifices to get to where you want to be. In this video I go through what you have to be willing to give up. I hope this video helps you decide whether or not a career on the cruise ships is something that could work for you.
