While in Denver we had a chance to try Casa Bonita. What a fun experience. The food was just ok but the experience was so fun. They had so much to do and see. Casa Bonita began in 1968 as an immersive Mexican-themed restaurant chain by Bill Waugh, known for its kitschy decor, cliff divers, and all-you-can-eat Tex-Mex, with the most famous Lakewood, Colorado location opening in 1974, becoming a cultural phenomenon amplified by South Park before facing bankruptcy and being purchased and revitalized by Parker and Stone in the 2020s, saving the iconic landmark.
