Coast Guard Medevac from Enchantment of the Seas (May 21, 2012)

Video of the US Coast Guard medevac of a 67-year-old man from Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas on May 21, 2012. An MH60T-Jayhawk helicopter was dispatched from Air Station Cape Cod. The video was shot from a camera mounted above the door of the helicopter as it hovered above the deck of the cruise ship 210 miles southwest of Cape Cod. The really interesting thing to watch in the video is the speed at which the ship is moving through the water (visible between the helicopter and the side of the ship) while this maneuver is being performed. The helicopter pilot, of course, has to match the speed exactly to remain motionless over the deck while the patient and rescue swimmer are hoisted.
