It's day 5 on board the Caribbean Princess, and we're at the Port of Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic today! We start the day with specialty coffees and breakfast at the International Cafe. We head off the ship and walk straight to the taxi service where our driver from Alfredo Transfers Tours Pop Services is waiting to take us to our planned excursion at The Damajagua Waterfalls! We quickly get geared up with a helmet and lifevest! We paid extra to have a personal photographer come along with us to capture all of the excitement of the day! We had Sammy and he was awesome!! The hike up to the waterfalls is very strenuous, but it is definitely worth it once you get up there and start jumping and sliding down the waterfalls! After making our way back to the entrance of Damajagua Falls, we grabbed some lunch at the buffet, as this was part of the package we purchased. Before heading back to port, our driver gave us some shots of the local Dominican drink, mama juana! It was pretty good! We explored the Amber Cove port before getting back on the ship to get ready for dinner. Tonight's dinner is at Planks BBQ, our second casual dining venue. It was so good!
