Carnival Cruise Lines have announced that they are willing to offer their currently empty ships to the nations in which they're home-ported for use as floating hospitals. This incredible proposal means that each ship could be equipped to house 1000 hospital rooms, 7 ICU units and help alleviate the stress on existing medical infrastructure amidst the C crisis. I'm interested to see how the Australian and US Governments respond to this proposal. Additionally, Celebrity Edge Captain, Kate McCue recently gifted all of her crew guest accommodation whilst they're onboard. What a fantastic opportunity for crew to take advantage of this unexpected down time. Royal Caribbean and Carnival have both also announced that some non-essential crew members will be departing the ships and flying home. Please leave a comment below.
