One cruise was not enough for us... so we decided to go from Celebrity Edge to RCCL Freedom of the Seas! BUT... there are two days in between... What to do?? Well we have to work some (these cruises don't pay for themselves) but we have time to relax, get some good food and have a bit of fun. On this layover, we are staying at the brand new Courtyard Marriott Downtown. We loved all of the new features this hotel has like charging stations and streaming tv in addition to a super comfy room. We really felt at home here. And they have an incredible rooftop pool & bar called The Easton. On the weekends they throw some killer pool parties! And we can see the ocean and the cruise ships from the roof. But this was not our only stay in Ft Lauderdale. Prior to our cruise on Celebrity Edge we stayed at Hyatt Centric Las Olas. This hotel has a great location on Las Olas Blvd with great food, shopping, etc in walking distance. And it is along the Intercoastal Waterway.
