About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

In the first part of this 30 minute video, Peter Knego takes the viewer aboard the former Cunard liner FRANCONIA, which was built in 1955 as the IVERNIA. Shot in 1997, this footage captures the ship in her final incarnation as the Soviet (and later Ukrainian) liner FEDOR SHALYAPIN, which had been laid up for three years at a shipyard several miles east of Odessa. Aside from rust and decay, the handsome liner had changed little since being coverted for cruising in 1963. The second part of this video is from the perspective of a Ukrainian tug, which captured both the FEDOR SHALYAPIN and the LEONID SOBINOV, her 1954-built sister, the former SAXONIA/CARMANIA. Don't miss the little surprise at the end of the credits! With profound thanks to the kind people in Odessa who made this journey possible and hopes that our Speaker of the House will finally and immediately do the right thing and put the proposal for Ukrainian aid up for a proper vote.
