To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings, The Royal British Legion chartered Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' "Boudicca" to run a special cruise for veterans of the Second World War from Dover to Dunkirk, Poole, Portsmouth and Le Havre. On Wednesday 5th June, the ship made a stop at Portsmouth making the start of the town's celebrations running through to Sunday. In the evening, the ship sailed out of Portsmouth around 18:40pm and was escorted by the Royal Navy recreating the runs the troopships would have made 75 years ago. This video shows the departure of "Boudicca" and her escorts as well as a couple of smaller vessels that departed prior to the main convoy. The ships that feature are as follows...
