YouTube Video Description↓
There were two cruise ships that made their departure from Southampton on the 1st May 2018, the Princess Cruises 'Royal Princess' which had arrived a day early on the 30th April 2018 after she had missed out a call to Le Havre and should have arrived at Southampton on the 1st May 2018 so by doing this she stayed overnight in port. Then we had the AIDA Cruise Ship the 'AIDAperla' which is on her regular round-trips between Southampton and Hamburg etc. The departure day of these ships was very rough weather the wind was blowing between 20-25knts in places and a couple of light rain showers. First to depart was the 'Royal Princess' from the Ocean Cruise Terminal, she left just after 17:30pm over half an hour later than planned for. She embarked on the first of many cruises from Southampton for this summer season while she is here, although the very first time she arrived in Southampton was in 2013 as a brand new build on the 7th of June & she was christened here on the 13th June by the Duchess of Cambridge. Then shortly after 'Royal Princess' had left then it was the turn of 'AIDAperla' to depart from the Queen Elizabeth II Cruise Terminal at about 19:23pm departing late by 23 minutes.
