Today marks an unexpected ending to our cruise journey. Due to my travel companion testing positive for COVID, we made the decision to disembark one day early in Seattle so we could return home, rest, and quarantine safely. Fortunately, since we live in the Seattle area, getting home was easier than if we had continued sailing. I never tested positive for COVID, but as a close contact I still need to follow protocols and continue testing for several days. In this vlog, I share what the early disembarkation process was like, how the crew handled the situation, and my reflections after nearly three weeks at sea — meeting amazing passengers, connecting with the crew, and experiencing an unforgettable journey.
