Each voyage starts with an event known as the Captain's Welcome Aboard Reception. The event typically takes place on the second night of the sailing, but with day 2 in Key West this sailing shifted it to day 3 while at sea. In addition to being the first ship wide event of the voyage it is also the center piece of the first formal evening.
