Day 4 of our Japan cruise and this is Osaka. We take our only organised trip today, to Shitenni-ji (Buddhist Temple) and the mighty Osaka Castle. We also ride a giant Ferris wheel and see an indoor drone show. Our guide Shuko was really great and I hope he doesn't mind being in the thumbnail image, at a select moment when we were at the temple. We chose this cruise because we wanted an easy way to see a bit of Japan for our first trip there. Despite this being Royal Caribbean's worst rated ship, we still took the plunge. You might have worked out from my earlier videos that the 'worst rated ship' badge is very unfair on Spectrum of the Seas - it's a beautiful ship! However, the organisation at port days has left a lot to be desired. In Kobe yesterday, we were over 2 hours getting through immigration, at one point being crushed and jostled so much it actually felt dangerous. Not sure who is to blame here, Japanese immigration for being so slow, or RC for letting too many people off the ship at a time. Will it be any better today? Watch to find out.
