In the port of Seydisfjordur, Iceland, we visited Skalanes Nature Reserve and saw seabirds like guillemots and terns (it was off-season for puffins) and talked about Alaksan Lupine and its relationship to Iceland. On the way back to town, we saw a gorgeous seal, just posing for photos. We stopped at a Viking age wooden church ruin with gravesites and saw a few abandoned houses on the adventurous drive to the nature reserve. During the drive, we went over three streams and the views were stunning. Once back at the port, we walked around the tiny but cute town of Seydisfjordur seeing the waterfall on the edge of town, a memorial to avalanche victims and the rainbow road leading to the church. This is a small town with a lot to offer. #iceland2024 #icelandtravel #iceland #seydisfjorduriceland #seydisfjordur #naturereserve #skalanes #travel #travelvlog #icelandcruise #cruise Music from Bensound.com 00:00 Introduction Chapters 00:17 Viking Age Church Ruins 01:40 Driving to the Reserve 03:02 Skalanes.
