We start our longest RV trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons National Park with a stop at Sisters, Oregon. Here we are staying at the Bend-Sisters Garden RV Resort just outside of Sisters, Oregon located next to the Sisters Rodeo grounds. We spend our time exploring the Dee Wright Observatory in the lava fields created by the Belknap Crater. From this vantage point you can see Black Butte, Mt Washinton and many more. Easily accessible just a short 30-minute drive from Sisters, Oregon. In Sisters, we visit coffee shops, breweries, taphouse and food trucks. Three Creeks Brewery is a must stop for any beer lovers passing through. They have a great selection of beer and a great food menu. Taphouses like High Camp and Ski Inn also have wonderful selections and a wide variety of food choices. One of our favorites for a beer and a bite is The Barn. A taphouse with food trucks outside that will appeal to all. They are also dog friendly, so we were able to bring Mickey and Minnie to the party. It was a great time with live music and cold beer. Sister Coffee Company was a great surprise. Pastries made daily and fresh brewed coffee was some of the best we ever had. On the last day of our stay, we have an offer we couldn't refuse. A gentleman and his wife invited us to come over for a visit and we accepted. You will need to see this! The Dee Wright Observatory is a stone structure located at the summit of McKenzie Pass in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon, within the Willamette National Forest. It offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding volcanic landscape, including lava fields, and prominent Cascade peaks like Mount Jefferson, the Three Sisters, Mount Washington, and Belknap Crater. Built in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the observatory is named after Dee Wright, a CCC foreman. The structure itself blends with the rugged surroundings, as it’s made from the local lava rock. Visitors can view the scenery through windows and a rooftop viewing platform. On clear days, plaques help identify the mountain peaks visible in the distance. The observatory is situated along the **McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway**, a route famous for its beautiful landscapes. The road to the observatory is typically closed during winter due to snow, so it is mainly accessible during the summer and early fall months. The lava fields, part of the larger Cascade Range's volcanic history, make the area feel almost otherworldly, adding to its unique appeal. #sistersoregon #rvlife #rvliving #rvtravel #rv Our Equipment: GoPro5 : https://amzn.to/3W706JP GoPro10 : https://amzn.to/3JoNRRt Nikon Z30 : https://amzn.to/4d2bOvo Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra DJI Mini 2 Our Software and Subscription Services: https://share.epidemicsound.com/cyumoq Adobe Premier Pro Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator 🎉🎈🥳Please subscribe to our channel to stay in touch so we can share what we are up to!🐕🌋🌅 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYptpWdN5KNCq5pwdvGNrhQ?sub_confirmation=1 Website : www.justramblinaround.com Facebook: Just Ramblin Around Instagram: @justrambinaround Email: jrawithronandjodi@gmail.com ****About**** Hi Ramblers! We are Ron & Jodi; we want to share with you our RV travels in the Pacific Northwest. We RV up and down Washington and Oregon's scenic coastline and explore the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range enjoying the high desert. We have lots to show you around in our own backyard to include our national & state parks in Washington and Oregon. The best thing about owning an RV is that no matter where you go, you are always home. Still working full time and living residentially in the Pacific Northwest, we will take extended RV vacations outside the PNW. We have been to California and Nevada and have traveled east to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. When we take a break from the RV lifestyle we travel to beautiful Hawaii and hop aboard luxurious cruise ships destined for Alaska and the Caribbean. We take you on our vacations for an immersive travel experience. There are many videos to watch and help you decide how to spend your time in the PNW and beyond!
