First Cruise Ever! Carnival Breeze out of Galveston - Day 1 Embarkation Day - Halloween 2021

We went on our very first cruise during Halloween 2021. It was a 5 night cruise on the Carnival Breeze out of Galveston. We left the day before and spent the night in Galveston so that we were not rushed that Saturday and we had an amazing time. We knew that all the safety protocols were in place and that made us feel very safe. Every single person we came across, from the crew in the cruise terminal to the crew on the ship and the passengers were so nice and everyone was just really happy. Our cruise departed Galveston on Saturday Oct. 30th in the afternoon and it was so much fun being able to watch the Sail Away party. We had reserved a Cove balcony because we had heard a lot of good things about those. They are very close to the water and seem a lot more private than the balconies on the upper floors. We made our reservations for this trip in September last year, over 400 days prior to the start of trip and we were not sure if it was ever going to happen. The cruise industry was completely shut down from March of 2020 and did not get started again until July 2021. It was a very exciting trip for us for a couple of reasons. It was our very first cruise and cruising had restarted without any issues, Itinerary was: Day 1 - Embarkation - Leaving Galveston Day 2 - Sea Day Day 3 - Cozumel Mexico Day 4 - Progresso (Yucatan) Mexico Day 5 - Sea Day Day 6 - Back in Galveston Will have more videos to come soon hopefully!
