Hi Cruisers, It's time for a food slideshow. This one is from our 10 night Panama Canal cruise on Caribbean Princess Download menus here: http://www.cruisetipstv.com/caribbean-princess-menus-download/ Visit our wonderful sponsor: https://cruiseline.com?utm_source=youtube&utm_campaign=cttv On Night one, we skipped the main dining room, and dropped by newly added planks. located aft of the buffet area, Planks serves up casual barbecue and specialty cocktails for $12 per passenger. I chose the loaded wedge salad, as a starter, and we each tried 4 meats on our plank. Everyone receives their choice of meats and sauces, served with tasty cornbread. We tried both dessert choices- the king plank chocolate cake with candied pecans and a comforting banana pudding. On night two, we enjoyed a few appetizers, a refreshing Pineapple and mildly spicy Gazpacho. Entrees included the always available salmon, Schezuan shrimp, spaghetti with meatballs for our son from the kids menu and a seafood pasta. We followed our meal with always-available cheesecake and Black Forest cake Night three started with a Princess favorite, Crab quiche and Shrimp cocktail from the every day menu. Red snapper, Shrimp Daniele, and Beef tenderloin were excellent tonight, especially with the side of horseradish we requested nightly. Creme brûlée, a chocolate journeys dessert, and a Sugar free treat rounded out our dining experience. Night 4 was Thanksgiving night and we opted for Tropical fruit, a Snow crab cocktail and mesclun greens with cornbread croutons to start. Traditional white and dark meat Turkey with all the fixings didn’t disappoint, but we also tried the jumbo shrimp and scallop entrée, as well as the sole with vermouth cream. For dessert, we kept it simple with old fashioned Pumpkin pie. We enjoyed the classic pub lunch, served in the crown grill, following our port visit in Costa Rica. Traditional fish and chips with peas, bangers and mash, and the ploughmans lunch hit the spot before the bread pudding was served. For Night 5 we’re back in the main dining room with the trenete di moda ligure in an appetizer size, one of my Princess favorites, Apple celery soup, and a green salad. Our son requested the addition of some chicken to the classic fettucine alfredo, and grownups sampled the filet of kingklip, and the brothy Curtis stone seafood stew. Dessert was a coconut accented Chocolate journeys treat, and a comforting Apple streudel Night 6 started with a tempura sushi, and chilled cocounut soup. Mains were spaghetti carbonara, the pork rib, Bahamian stew with Johnnycakes and the Pot pie by Curtis stone . And, a frozen praline torte and Butter pecan ice Creme. Italian night began with Iced peach Bellini soup and an Italian twist on a green salad. It was hard to decide on entrees, so it was Scallops and shrimp gratinee, and exquisite Penne arribiata prepped by the head waiter in the center of the dining room. And of course, a perfect Tiramisu for our quintessential Italian dessert. Night 8: Tian of seafood with a touch of caviar, Shrimp cocktail, and another chilled fruit soup. Lobster and shrimp and reliably yummy salmon were a light contrast to to the last few nights. Another chocolate journeys dessert, a cherry trifle and floating islands were the perfect complement to tonights meal. We treated ourselves to the crown grill, Caribbean Princess’s steakhouse on our 9th night. Starters were fancy- a lobster cake, prawn salpicon, and two varieties of green salads. Entrees in Crown grill are top notch. The four of us tried filet mignon, butterfly prepped for our son, killer garlic fries, creamy mashed potatoes, a grown up size filet mignon, the infamous Porterhouse, and veal chops. If you’ve saved room, which is not easy to do, try the peanut bar, S’mores, or a little bit of everything with the crown dependence, a little sampler of all the cRown grill desserts. We’re back in the main dining room for our last night onboard, starting with Watermelon and feta, steamed veggies by request for our son, a trio of avocado and seafood, Salad with grilled veggies. Main dishes were Linguine with clams and Salmon. For our last dessert, the cruise classic- Baked Alaska Thanks for tuning in.
