Under very challenging & difficult weather conditions on the afternoon of the 11th August 2018 in Southampton saw the departures of four of the five cruise ships that had arrived earlier in the day. They sailed in the following order the Princess Cruises Ship "Sapphire Princess", Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship "Independence of The Seas", P&O Cruises Ship "Azura" & last of all was another P&O Cruise Ship the "Oriana". The Princess Cruises Ship "Sapphire Princess" sailed from the QEll Cruise Terminal at 16:00pm for a 7 Night Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords she is heading for Stavanger in Norway which will be her very first port of call and as she sailed the "SS Shieldhall" sailed from berth 48 just after 16:00pm with over 100 sightseers to watch the ships sail from Southampton down the Southampton Water. At just after 16:30pm the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship "Independence of the Seas" sailed from the City Cruise Terminal for a 14 Night Mediterranean Cruise, she is heading for Gibraltar which will be her very first port of call. The next ship to set sail was the P&O Cruises Ship "Azura" at 17:00pm from the Ocean Cruise Terminal for a 14 Night Cruise to Spain, Monaco & Italy, her very first port of call on this cruise is Cadiz in Spain. Then last of all she was followed out by another P&O Cruises Ship the "Oriana" she sailed slightly earlier from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 16:47pm. She is on a 2 Night short cruise to Zeebrugge in Belgium.
