We were on a 15 day cruise on the Carnival Miracle. One of our stops was Maui. We rented a car well in advance and knew we were going to hit a number of parks and everything else Maui had to offer. It was a full day that we took advantage of touring the island on our own at our own pace. The Haleakala National Park was amazing to say the least. The drive up was extremely scary but, once up to the viewing point it was well worth the terrifying drive to see the sun set and the amazing views well above the clouds. The only thing we were dreading was the drive down. It was twice as scary going down because it was dark. Andrea drove and did an amazing job while I was freaking out in the passenger seat. She just took it slow and didn’t look over the edge of the cliff road way. Thank you for watching,
