A quick look at some of the construction going on at Holland America Line's private island in the Bahamas, Half Moon Cay. A new pier is being built to accommodate larger Carnival Cruise Line Ships, which will be taking advantage of this island paradise on select cruises from Florida. The new pier will eliminate the need to ferry guests ashore on tender boats. Along with the new pier, a new beach area complete with shops, restaurants and bars are being built. The current beach area will continue to be used once this new expanded area opens.
