Let's take a look at what's so special about the cabins -- even the least expensive ones -- on Viking Ocean Cruises. They really do have some neat little features that all the other cruise lines should copy. For example, radiant heating in the bathroom keeps the floors warm and the mirrors fog-free, even if you take a long shower. There are multiple electrical outlets and USB charging points on each side of the bed, and at the desk. The drawers have soft-closing mechanisms, and the closet has a light inside... as well as an umbrella, slippers, and a bath robe. Liquid body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion is provided at no extra charge. The movies on the television are available at no extra charge. Even the snacks and drinks in the refrigerator are provided at no extra charge. High speed wireless Internet is available in every cabin and throughout the ship. You can use it at no extra charge, even on multiple devices. And the upload and download speeds are very good. Anyone needing a lot of storage in the cabin should step up to the Penthouse Verandah cabin category, which has a significant additional number of drawers in it than the two lower cabin categories. Every cabin on every Viking Ocean ship has a balcony. Of course, the most expensive cabins have larger balconies than the least expensive cabins. This video zeroes in on the ways that a cabin on a Viking Ocean cruise ship is better than a cabin on other major cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Princess, and Norwegian. Keep an eye on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks as there will be another video coming which will talk about the other ways, besides within the cabin, that Viking is different the other cruise lines. Financial disclosure: Viking Ocean Cruises invited me aboard the Viking Sea as their guest, at no charge. However, they had no control over the content of this video.
