The Royal Promenade has been home to parades ever since it was first introduced on the Voyager of the Seas in 1999. With the introduction of the Icon of the Seas Royal Caribbean has created a brand new parade called Ships Ahoy!. This new parade features the members of the various entertainment staff throughout the ship as well as the youth and sports staff. The parade blends the lines between a parade and a performance with a series of floats and casts to go with each, but instead of a parade style flow through the promenade music and a storyline outlines the introduction of each set of performers and their mini performances.
