A beautiful sunny afternoon made for the perfect excuse to go down to Hythe Marina to watch the five cruise ships departing from Southampton on Saturday 29th June 2013. This day saw the only time this year that the two regular Princess Cruises vessels would be in together. "Crown Princess" was at the 'Mayflower' Terminal whilst her larger and elder sister "Caribbean Princess" was at the 'QEII' Terminal. In addition to the two, P&O Cruises' own Grand-class Princess "Ventura" was at the 'Ocean' Terminal with Royal Caribbean International's "Independence of the Seas" at the 'City' Terminal and MSC Cruises' "MSC Opera" at Berth 104. The ships departed in the following order... - "Independence of the Seas" at 16:13 (originally booked to depart at 16:30) heading for Vigo, Spain. - "MSC Opera" at 16:32 (originally booked to depart at 16:00) heading for Ijmuiden, Holland. - "Ventura" at 16:58 (originally booked to depart at 16:30) heading for Zeebrugge, Belgium. - "Caribbean Princess" at 17:23 (originally booked to depart at 17:00 ) heading for St. Peter Port, Guernsey. - "Crown Princess" at 17:10 (originally booked to depart at 16:00) heading for Stavanger, Norway,
