Plus, it's a great way to see the Scottish countryside from a different perspective! So sit down, pour yourself a coffee, and tune in for the ride of your life! We wake up at Culloden House & end up back in Edinburgh on today's adventure! Seeing Scotland by rail is certainly something everyone should do! The views are amazing and the trip is easy. "Me" has done such a wonderful job of driving us around Scotland but I'm sure he is ready for a break. Being able to sit back and relax at the end of our adventures was a welcome thing. Our trip took about 3 and a half hours and was uneventful. We were able to soak up the views as they raced past our windows! After arriving back in Edinburgh, we checked back into the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh- The Caledonian. This beautiful hotel is worth one more night if for no other reason than the views! It is also a Hilton property. We grabbed a quick and early dinner at The Red Squirrel. The concierge at the hotel recommended this spot. The food was good but not outstanding. They did have a Scotsman burger made from venison and haggis that was different and worth a try. We then took a stroll through Princess Street Garden. There are many fountains and stages here and the grounds are beautiful. Totally worth a walk through. We also visited saint Cuthbert's Parish Church and had a walk through their cemetery. The church is beautiful and the cemetery interesting and unusual! We ended our evening with a drink at The Caley Bar. The Caley has a warm, inviting ambiance with a sense of adventure mixed in. There are custom cocktails along with some of the finest Scotch whiskies in Scotland. We both enjoyed our drinks at this very nice bar. Good-Byes are hard for me and saying good-bye to Scotland was especially hard. We have had such a magical time while we were here! I am going to miss the adventures we shared each day.
