Creator's Key Takeaways
So, what we have encountered on the Encounter so far is actually whatever those problems were, we haven't seen any of them at all, not even a little bit.
If you come on Carnival Cruise on this ship, you have to drag out your best attire, your glitziest, raziest, because everybody here they have pulled out all the stops.
What we're impressed with up to now is that everything's come without rush but fast. So, we we don't feel rushed but it's all come and it's all come together for us.

Elegant Night has been disappearing on many cruise lines around the world, especially in the US and UK. So when we saw how many people dressed up on Carnival Encounter, we were genuinely surprised. If you’ve been wondering whether Elegant Night, Formal Night or Dress‑to‑Impress is making a comeback, this vlog gives you a real look at what’s happening onboard. Today on our Carnival Encounter cruise, we’re asking the question many cruisers have been wondering… is Elegant Night making a comeback? We didn’t expect what we saw around the ship tonight — and it genuinely surprised us in the best way. Our day started with sunshine, fresh air and plenty of time out on deck before heading to Dragon Lady for Yum Cha, one of the specialty dining options onboard. Madie picked up one of the fun novelty drink cups, and after a relaxed afternoon we made our way to the Thermal Suite for a little more unwinding before the evening ahead. Dinner took us back to Dragon Lady for Feast Night, where all the restaurants share the same menu. We were even greeted by the Dragon as it made its way around the dining room — a fun touch that added to the atmosphere. After dinner, we enjoyed live music and dancing in the Encounter Hotel, soaking up the energy of the night. It was during our pre‑dinner drinks that we first noticed it… people were dressed up. Not just a few — but all around the ship. In the bars, in the restaurants, in the evening venues. Elegant attire everywhere. It felt like the Elegant Nights we remember from years ago, something that has slowly faded on many ships recently. We ended the night with a classic cruise tradition: hot chips from the new Topside Grill, taken back to the cabin for a late‑night snack. If you’re curious about whether dressing to impress, Elegant Night, Formal Night, or whatever your cruise line calls it is making a return, this vlog gives you a real look at what’s happening onboard Carnival right now — along with plenty of food, glorious food along the way. Thanks for joining us for another day on Carnival Encounter. We hope you enjoy the vlog.
