This review of the Norwegian Cruise Line will let you know how we rate the NCL Sky and let you know if we would consider booking with them again. We will cover the conditions of the cabin, the cleanliness of the ship, the dining options, activities, communications, entertainment, embarkment, excursions and was it worth the cost? This cruise aboard the Norwegian Sky will depart out of Miami and travel throughout the Caribbean to include ports in the Dominican Republic, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Sint Maarten, St. Thomas, The Great Stirrup Cay and Stingray City! Join us for 9 days as we show you around the Caribbean on our cruise! Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has a rich history that dates back to its founding in 1966. Over the decades, it has grown from a small operation offering short Caribbean cruises into one of the largest and most innovative cruise lines in the world. Norwegian Cruise Line was founded as "Norwegian Caribbean Line" by Knut Kloster from Norway and Ted Arison (who later founded Carnival Cruise Line). Initially, the line operated a single ship, the **Sunward**, offering inexpensive cruises from Miami to the Caribbean. At the time, cruises were largely associated with luxury, so NCL's lower-cost model attracted a wider audience. In 1979, NCL acquired the **SS France**, a transatlantic ocean liner, and refitted it as a cruise ship, renaming it the **SS Norway**. At the time, this was the largest cruise ship in the world and marked NCL’s push towards offering grander, more luxurious cruising experiences. Through the 1980s and 1990s, NCL expanded its fleet and destinations. During this time, it focused heavily on modernizing and expanding cruise experiences. The company began offering cruises in Alaska, Bermuda, and the Mediterranean, expanding beyond its initial Caribbean focus. However, during this period, NCL also faced increased competition from newer, larger cruise lines like Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Financial struggles and ownership changes occurred, but NCL continued to innovate in its offerings. NCL modernized its fleet during the early 2000s, introducing new, innovative ships like the **Norwegian Epic** (2010) and the **Breakaway** and **Breakaway Plus-class ships** (starting in 2013), which were among the largest and most advanced cruise ships at the time. These ships featured unique entertainment options, such as Broadway shows, water parks, and massive onboard venues. Today, NCL continues to expand its fleet and innovate in terms of both sustainability and passenger experience. The launch of the **Prima-class ships** in 2022 (with ships like the **Norwegian Prima**) signals NCL’s ambition to offer more spacious and luxurious cruising options. These ships feature enhanced amenities, from upscale dining to high-tech entertainment and eco-friendly features. NCL remains a leader in the cruise industry, known for its flexibility, innovative ship designs, and wide variety of cruise itineraries around the world. #norwegiancruiseline #cruisereview #ncl #caribbean #norwegiansky Our Equipment: GoPro5 : https://amzn.to/3W706JP GoPro10 : https://amzn.to/3JoNRRt Nikon Z30 : https://amzn.to/4d2bOvo Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra DJI Mini 2 Our Software and Subscription Services: https://share.epidemicsound.com/cyumoq Adobe Premier Pro Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator 🎉🎈🥳Please subscribe to our channel to stay in touch so we can share what we are up to!🐕🌋🌅 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYptpWdN5KNCq5pwdvGNrhQ?sub_confirmation=1 Website : www.justramblinaround.com Facebook: Just Ramblin Around Instagram: @justrambinaround Email: jrawithronandjodi@gmail.com ****About**** We are Ron and Jodi.
