Originally left just 49ft from the picturesque Kolona Bay on the island of Kythnos, the superyacht had remained in the water since the incident in September last year.But after Greek authorities informed the owner, through a bailiff, that they had one month to resolve the situation and remove the boat from the stunning shoreline or face severe fines, the superyacht has been retrieved. Now, after seven months, 007 has been lifted from the sea and is ready to set sail again. The 160-foot superyacht named "0 0 7" experienced a G P S malfunction around 50 feet from the beaches of Kolona Bay on the Mediterranean island of Kythnos. Coast Guard answered mayday calls and the five passengers on board were quickly rescued after it started sinking on Friday evening. By Saturday, the yacht was almost fully submerged. "They say that the captain had some depth problem and he hit the bottom," a boat owner said about the vessel's captain. "In trying not to be sunk, he sailed closer to shore, in less than 10 meters depth — and that's how the ship got to that position." Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident, "Next morning they put an antipollution perimeter," the boat owner continued. The superyacht 007 was launched as Amazon A by the Turkish shipyard Aegean Yacht in 2006. She was originally 32-metres in length but has since undergone at least two major extensions to a length of approximately 49-metres, though neither of these extensions were conducted by her build yard Aegean Yacht.During her first major refit she was extended to about 42-metres and during her last major refit she was extended again with a long aft open aft deck and both her hull and superstructure were painted black. The interior of 007 was decorated with wooden touches and adorned with beige and orange fabrics that match the vibe of the rooms.
