My buddies and I were on the Carnival Sensation cruise ship in June of 2019. As part of the Island Highlights Sightseeing Tour, in Nassau Bahamas, we stopped at the John Watling’s Rum Distillery. The tour started in the main entrance, where we provided a sample of pina colada made with their amber rum. Also, in the main entrance, the guide gave us a brief history of the family and the distillery. It was a neat experience to see a working rum factory where everything is made and served only in the Bahamas. The tour was free and afterwards you are taken to the shop where you can purchase their rums and other items. I did partake in a tasting of all four of the house made rums. They ranged from pale to the strong single barrel.
