Creator's Key Takeaways

this is the story of Norwegian Cruise Lin's pride of America the cruise ship that refused to perish

she is a fairly modest vessel with an awkward exterior appearance even with this common surface level criticism she is still a testament of what is possible

pride of America is now the only member of the NCL America Fleet that is both still in Hawaii and registered as a US flagged vessel

she may not be the biggest most famous and definitely not the most aesthetically pleasing cruise ship to look at but because of her unique goals and knowing her Heritage and journey to life it cannot be denied that she is one of the most distinctive and perplexing members

YouTube Video Description

Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America is one of the most interesting ships yet tackled on The Brick Executive Channel. Most just see her as an old, small, and awkward looking ship that doesn't deserve to exist. One must look beyond this common surface level criticism to truly understand why she is something different (in a good way). In fact, she almost never made it on many occasions. In this video, we explore the turbulent history of this ship, from her conception all the way to the present day. To cover her story, simple things like port of registry regulations up to complicated political legislation regarding U.S. passenger ship travel must be understood. This is one of the most simple yet complicated builds I have done when compared to the rest; it was especially fun working on the hull art along the forward hull! I hope you will both enjoy the video and come to appreciate this unique passenger ship as much as I do!
