YouTube Video Description

Let’s talk about visiting the charming town of Lunenburg — a true maritime gem and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1753, this colourful harbour town is packed with history, from its perfectly preserved 18th- and 19th-century wooden buildings to its long shipbuilding tradition. Lunenburg is where the world-famous racing schooner Bluenose was built, and you might even spot her replica, Bluenose II, when she’s in port. The working harbour is alive with fishing boats and sailing vessels, and you’ll find fantastic seafood restaurants, local art galleries and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic telling the story of Nova Scotia’s fishing heritage. It’s a compact, walkable town, in fact we went for a lovely wander around in the sunshine — perfect for exploring if your cruise calls here (only around 4/5 small cruise ships visit a year ) or if you’re taking a day trip from Halifax! #lunenburg #novascotia #canadaandnewenglandcruise #nocruisecontrol #azamaraquest #cruisetips #shipspotting #maritimehistory #bluenose #travelcanada
