Marella Cruises (the British cruise arm of German tour operator TUI) has a reputation for offering all-inclusive cruising as standard for everyone. This means that included in your upfront fare isn't just the cruise, but free drinks, flights, transfers and all your gratuities too. I've just come back from a cruise around Turkey and Greece (the itinerary was called Ancient Icons) on their cruise ship Marella Discovery. This video is a tour and review of the whole ship as well as its all-inclusive offering. You will see top decks pools, mini-golf and climbing wall as well as the promenade deck and seating areas and my cabin. You will also get to see the view from my cabin balcony of the bridge and how one morning I can even chat to the Captain from my balcony as he steers the ship into port! I'm blown away by how much is included in the fare and try out all the different included wines as well as a delicious cocktail called 'Five O'Clock Tea' whose ingredients include Earl Grey infused gin, lemon curd and sparkling wine. The video also shows how my deck 6 cabin is handily near to the ship's cafe called Coffee Pot which ended up being a real perk/bonus. And then there are the giant brightly-coloured llamas which are dotted around the ship. I think these animals are a Marella trademark on all its five ships. You will also get a look at the food on board which was of a high standard as well as the very cheap excursions. I did an amazing one in the Turkish port of Alanya which went to an authentic Turkish Bath house which only cost a bargain £25 ($32). This was my first ever cruise with Marella Cruises and it will definitely NOT be my last. I was a big fan.
