Part 1 - Day 1 & 2 of our New Year 2025 camping trip kicks off with a travel day from Tampa to the Florida Panhandle and a highlife tour of the resort. We always take the scenic route, avoiding the interstate when we can, just to enjoy the views and slower pace. It adds a little more time to the drive, but it's worth it. The back roads take us through small towns, open fields, and stretches of coast that make the trip part of the adventure. We rolled into SPLASH RV Resort in the afternoon, got the site set up, and settled in just in time for some college football bowl games. While the games played, we grilled up some kielbasa sausage at the campsite. The smell brought out Peaches, our dachshund, who sat in her favorite spot... the Zero-G chair giving us those big eyes, hoping for a bite. A chill evening with good food, football, and a hungry little dogโthatโs how we closed out day one ... day 2 is "Cooking with Ryan" and a quick highlight tour of the resort.
