We are super thrilled for today’s video! Not only is this a brand new innovation for the cruise industry, but this is one of the first sets of news discussing the progression towards future sailings! Today’s topic is Royal Caribbean’s new Muster 2.0! This is a brand new system for guests to more effectively and happily complete their mandatory safety drills. Muster 2.0 will allow guests complete their training leisurely within a four hour window once onboard for their sailing. This required process may be completed on either Royal Caribbean’s (free) mobile app or on the in stateroom interactive TV. Guests will receive pertinent safety information that will be necessary in the case of an emergency. Once you have completed all the mandatory steps on the app or interactive TV, you must then physically visit your assigned assembly station and check in with the crew member on site. Then you are free! Royal Caribbean began developing this new system over a year ago to create a better and less stressful muster drill situation. Luckily, Royal was ahead of the curve with this creation, because Muster 2.0 will play an important role as one of the many new protocols put in place as cruising is reintroduced after the COVID-19 suspensions.
