About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Norwegian Cruise Lines updated their policy regarding the daily rate for gratuities onboard their ships recently with an increase to standard rooms (interior, balcony, ocean view, etc) to $20 per person per day (a 25% increase of $4 from the current rate). For Haven Suites, the gratuities will jump up to $25 per person per day (an increase of $5 from the current rate). In addition to the increased service fees onboard, Norwegian announced on January 4th, 2023 that they would be reducing the amount of times the cabin is visited by your steward to just one time per day (Haven Suites will still get twice-daily service). This means that they've eliminated turndown service in the evenings. These announcements came on the heels of Carnival making a similar announcement about their gratuities increasing along with their WiFi prices going up. You can check out that video here: https://youtu.be/TN7qe8pUGSA It will be interesting to see which cruise line steps to the plate next to increase their rates for gratuities and other services.
