Oasis of the Seas: Pool Deck

The Oasis of the Seas expands on it's diverse selection of pools available on the Freedom Class by doubling the number from 3 to 6 distinct areas. These areas account for 21 swimming pools and jacuzzis holding 5,070,632 lbs (2,330 tonnes) of water. The adult Solarium has been moved to a separate forward area on deck 15 and an additional pool is located in the Boardwalk on deck 6 as part of the Aqua Theater. The main pool deck on deck 15 features distinct quadrants that house the four primary pool areas divided up by Central Park down the center and a bridge that gaps it: -Forward Starboard: Beach Pool The first Beach Pool at sea will have a sloped entry where guests will be able to wade into the water or relax in colorful beach chairs under an umbrella as the water rolls gently beneath. Two whirlpools will flank either side of the "beach" for guests who prefer warmer waters. -Forward Port: Main Pool The Main Pool with two side-by-side whirlpools, ideal for rest and relaxation in the sun. -Aft Port: Sports Pool The Sports Pool, where afternoon water team sports will include basketball, badminton and water polo, while morning hours will be dedicated to lap swimming. -Aft Starboard: H2O Zone The H2O Zone is marked by a giant octopus with its water-spraying tentacles and surrounded by fellow water-spouting ocean creatures. Separate wading and current pools, as well as a dedicated infant and toddler pool, will be set in the interactive aquatic playground and surrounded by adult and child-sized lounge chairs.
