Sailing between Greece and Italy on 05 August, 2022 at approximately 1510 hours, a sailboat passed Port-side and made attention to our ship's crew. Our Captain slowed to a stop to investigate. I filmed from our balcony on Port-Side, deck 12 the highlights of the investigation. The sailboat was under distress with no immediate danger to persons or remaining afloat. After the crew made contact (unable to contact via VHF) by rescue boat it was determined the sailboat required rescue. Italian Authorities dispatched the Coast Guard to conduct the rescue, required a ship to remain on-site in case of the need for evacuation. We remained on scene for over 3 hours and was relieved by another ship. It was announced ALL people aboard were rescued without harm. The rescue boat from the Odyssey delivered provisions to the people aboard the sailboat to sustain good health.
