Join us for the next three ports of call on our Odyssey of the Seas Greek Isle Cruise! The overall theme of these days was definitely taking a step back in time to see three ancient historical sites, the ruins of some of the most famous cities in history. First up was Kusadasi, Turkey - where we traveled to the ancient city of Ephesus; followed by some shopping in the modern day markets. Next was visiting the port of Mykonos, Greece - where we took a shuttle boat to the ancient island of Delos; and then back to Mykonos for shopping and a delicious lunch. Last we have Naples, Italy - where we were got to visit the infamous Pompeii; followed by exploring the city of Naples with shopping, sightseeing, and eating some of the best pizza we've ever had. Our excursion to Ephesus was booked through Royal Caribbean at https://www.royalcaribbean.com. Following the tour they dropped us off near the port, with the markets for shopping and dining within walking distance. https://ephesus.us The trip to Delos was not through an excursion, we went on our own and bought tickets for the water taxi from New Port to Old Port in Mykonos, and then bought tickets for the shuttle to the island on the Old Port dock for €22 each. Once we reached the island we purchased tickets from the main gate at Delos for €12 a person. Delos is a self-guided tour. https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/530/ The restaurant we ate at in Mykonos was called Pepper, and the dishes we ordered were the pork and chicken souvlaki and we highly recommend it. https://menu.pepper-mykonos.com Our excursion to Pompeii was also booked directly through royal Caribbean at https://www.royalcaribbean.com. http://pompeiisites.org/en/ After being dropped back off at the port following the tour we then walked the city of Naples and explored on our own. We ate authentic pizza at Antica Trattoria e Pizzeria Da Peppino, followed by trying Naples’ famous pastry called Sfogliatella at a small pastry cart in the Galleria Umberto I, a shopping center in Naples. https://www.tripadvisor.it/Restaurant_Review-g187785-d12557320-Reviews-Antica_trattoria_e_pizzeria_da_peppino-Naples_Province_of_Naples_Campania.html https://www.introducingnaples.com/galleria-umberto-i #cruise #royalcaribbean #odysseyoftheseas #travel #vacation #greece #mykonos #turkey #ephesus #naples #pompeii #travelplanning #italy #travelvlog #greekislescruise If you enjoyed this video or found it useful please make sure to like and subscribe for more.
