See what it was like touring the One World Observatory atop the One World Trade Center, including some tips that may help you plan your visit. We were staying at the New York Marriott Downtown Hotel, and took a morning stroll of less than 10 minutes to our destination at 7:45 AM to make our 8 AM time slot. We then took the elevator all the way up to floor 102 during where we watched a cool timelapse video of NYC progressing through the years. Next we watched a cool unveiling of the view as the "curtains" were lifted from the surrounding windows on the top floor. We then were offered an iPad guide (aka One World Explorer) for $15 which we went for to help us identify when we were looking at. There was also a cafe restaurant here if you wanted some food. We then visited the 101 and 100th floors which were the actual Observatory areas. There we took in amazing views of sites including the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Colgate Clock, Jersey City, Goldman Sachs tower (30 Hudson Street), Liberty State Park, plus the Statue of Liberty. Be sure to bring a zoom camera or binoculars for the best views. There was also a "Skyportal" area were you can stand and look straight down at what's underneath via cameras. Overall we really enjoyed our visit to One World Observatory NYC. We definitely recommend this tourist attraction if you are visiting New York City. This was from our June 2019 visit of the city before boarding the Celebrity Summit cruise ship on a Bermuda Cruise sailing from the Bayonne Cruise Terminal. #NYC
