Curious about the Carnival Firenze ship? We recently sailed the Carnival Firenze on a 5 day cruise out of Long Beach and she did not disappoint! Featuring a fun Italian theme, this ship literally has it all. Great dining options and a fabulous @Carnival crew and Cruise Director Keegan Van Zyl. This ship sails out of the Long Beach port. The night before our cruise we stayed on@TheQueenMary which is a perfect option for a hotel stay before your cruise as you can LITERALLY walk over to board your cruise ship the next morning! (literally took 2 minutes to walk over) See our video tour and review of The Queen Mary here: https://youtu.be/OaRbomMSuz4?si=RkgRBL_nzx1Nr2zP Highly recommend this as a pre or post cruise hotel stay option ... it added so much excitement and fun to our voyage and a great way to @VisitLongBeachCA The Queen Mary ship is an amazing hotel right by the Long Beach Cruise Port ... and to make things even more excited, The Queen Mary is rumored to be haunted. Would YOU stay the night in a haunted hotel cruise ship by the cruise port? We were on the 8th deck. Stateroom 8411 and the adjoining room. We had 5 people in our group and it was perfect. Our voyage included 2 port stops: Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada For our Cabo San Lucas port stop we spent time in Cabo right at the port where we shopped the market and fed PANCHO the seal lion (the fishermen provide food and allow you to feed him for a tip of your choice) We then took a water taxi over to The Sand Bar restaurant which is a beach front property that has wonderful Mexican food and also allows for spending some time on the beach. Keep in mind: when the ship ports in Cabo San Lucas you will need to board a tender to be taken to the actual port area. If you want to get off early, you will need to get a pass to do so, otherwise you will have to wait until all tender pass holders have been called and all of the reserved time have been taken over. For our Ensenada port stop we walked into town, shopped the market and then also walked around downtown Ensenada. It's basically a LOT of shopping, and a great time to get back on the ship and relax and the ship does get quite empty during these port stops. Favorite restaurant: Bonsai Teppanyaki You'll want to make a reservation for this meal as it does book up. We highly recommend this experience for the whole family. Pricing: Lunch: $46.02 Dinner: $57.82 Price includes 18% service charge But if paid dining isn't for you, there are SO many included dining options: Piazza Duomo, La Strada Grill, Il Mercato, plus Guy's Burger Joint (always good!) and the Chicken Shack (still not sure of the exact name of this one - used to be Shaq's Chicken) but it's AMAZING, probably my favorite of the included meal options. Let's put it this way: you won't stave :) ... so many wonderful dining options including the dining room which we enjoyed more than we ever have ... the food was wonderful. What about activities for the kids? There is SO much to do on Carnival Firenze including: the high ropes course, swimming pools, water slide park, miniature golf, kid's clubs, arcade, candy shop (Cherry on Top) a basketball court, Dive in Movies every night and MORE! For adults: a HUGE casino (seriously, very up to date slot machines!) and some wonderful bars, kareokee, dances, night clubs, singles meet ups and again ... so much more. You will not be bored on this ship!
