P&O Cruises | "Oriana" farewell arrival into Southampton for the very last time today 09/08/19

Well today the 9th August 2019 saw the P&O Cruises "Oriana" soon to be renamed "Piano Land" arriving this morning into Southampton from Belfast in Northern Ireland she had completed her farewell 18 Night Norway Cruise she left Southampton back on the 22nd July 2019. As she appeared at Dockhead there was the tug "Apex" waiting to give a water cannon salute as she entered the port for the very last time to arrive at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal for about 08:00am. She did have another tug at her stern to assist her to her berth due to the rough weather and the tug was the Svitzer Bargate. The "Oriana" will stay in Southampton till about midday Friday 16th August, she will sail out from berth 104 for the every last time to go to China where she will start her new life under the new name of "Piano Land". The "Oriana" was launched in 1995 and was a well loved cruise ship it will be sad to see her leave but I would like to wish her well upon her new life in cruising around the china seas.
