Ponta Delgada The Azores Islands

We Finally hit land! Join me as I get off the Carnival Pride for the first time in 9 days! That's right 9 Days 8 at Sea! this was our first stop on our transatlantic cruise onboard the Carnival Pride! We set sail from the beautiful port of Tampa Florida on a 13 day Transatlantic Cruise! The Port of Sao Miguel Island was absolutely incredible! We were shuttled from the ship to the exit side we docked in the cargo Shipyard! After a quick 30 second Shuttle ride we used our feet to tour the island and see all its beauty! We explored for miles along the coast seeing some beautiful sights along the way. We stopped for lunch along the waters edge to get some local food and flavor! Let's just say that the chicken was finger licking good! Once we were done lunch we grabbed some of the most juiciest pineapple ever grown. The Island is famous for its Glass Greenhouse Grown Pineapples. Don't let the size fool you, Size doesn't matter in this case! Once we were done out pineapple it was time to head back as the rain set in! After a short nap it was time to enjoy sailing away from Ponta Delgada.This has definitely become a favorite port for me and I can't wait to get back here in the very near future!
