Pride of America--Kona--Ship Views and Tender Ride

The Pride of America (Norwegian Cruise Line) sails from Honolulu to three of Hawaii's other islands. Kona on the Big Island is the third port. Kona is the only tender port. To get to Kona you board one of the lifeboats from the ship that will take you to and from the dock. Kona is the only real walkable port on the itinerary. Once at the dock you can easily walk to many shops and restaurants. There was a market going on when we visited. We visited some shops and then walked back to get the tender, some of that walk is shown in this video. I also filmed the entire tender ride back to the ship. It takes about 10 minutes. Our trip included an additional 5 minutes of bouncing in the open ocean while the tender at the ship filled up. The waiting has been edited out.
