Quantum of the Seas: Inaugural CocoCay, Bahamas Attempt (with MSC Divina) on November 28, 2014

The Quantum of the Seas attempted to make her inaugural call to Royal Caribbean's private island of CocoCay on November 28, 2014. She arrived extra early along with the MSC Divina which was scheduled next store at Norwegian Cruise Line's private island of Great Stirrup Cay. Unfortunately after an hour of both ships turning in different directions to try and block the winds and seas their was no way they could conduct tendering operations. As a result just after 8:30AM both ships turned and headed out to sea together. The Quantum of the Seas being the third largest ship in the world, after the Oasis Class, was unable to call on any other port that was reachable on the way back to Bayonne so instead she had an extra day at sea. On the way back north she once again passed Castaway Cay where the Disney Fantasy was docked.
