Quantum of the Seas: Inaugural Port Canaveral Arrival and Departure on November 26, 2014

The Quantum of the Seas made her first ever port of call on November 26, 2014 when she arrived in Port Canaveral Florida as part of her inaugural sailing. She arrived in the channel at 5:45AM and made her way past the incomplete Terminal 1 as showers fell. It was supposed to be finished for a grand opening upon her arrival but issues with the dredging in the area caused it to be delayed by a month. She then made her way to the turning basin and pulled into Terminal 6 for the day. She was the only ship in port offering open views in every direction. Unfortunately it was a cold, wet, and windy day. It cleared up in time for a beautiful sunset at 5:30PM and remained clear for our 9:00PM departure. On the way out some cruise fanatics turned out to watch her pass through the channel and back out to sea.
