Creator's Key Takeaways
We're on a seven night Alaska cruise aboard Quantum of the Seas and today is our first port stop and we're in Sitka.
I can't recommend Beak enough. They're an excellent restaurant for a lunch on your day in port in Sitka.
We highly recommend picking a itinerary with Sitka on there because it's just incredible.
It's always nice to have a little variety.

Discover Sitka on our Alaska Cruise! Join us as we explore Sitka, Alaska, one of our favorite Alaska cruise ports, entirely on our own. This is our second time in Sitka, and this time we're sailing aboard Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas on a 7-night Alaska itinerary out of Seattle. In this video, we take you along for everything we did in Sitka without booking a cruise line excursion. We started our day by climbing Castle Hill and learning about the history of Baranof Castle, a spot with incredible views and fascinating significance. From there, we headed to lunch at BEAK Restaurant, where we had one of the best meals of the trip. Everything is locally sourced and absolutely delicious. Afterward, we explored the shops in downtown Sitka, picking up a few souvenirs and enjoying the local charm. Then we made the scenic walk over to Sitka National Historic Park, where we admired the impressive totem poles and hiked through the lush, peaceful rainforest. We also share what we loved about Sitka, what we wish we had time for, and offer practical tips to help you make the most of your day in port. #AlaskaCruise #SitkaAlaska #RoyalCaribbean #QuantumOfTheSeas #AlaskaPortDay #Cruise #CruiseTips #ExploreSitka #CruiseVacation Once we got back on board Quantum of the Seas, the fun continued. We jumped into a round of bumper cars at the SeaPlex, grabbed some amazing cocktails, and enjoyed “Taste of Asia” night in the main dining room. We ended the evening with the always hilarious Love and Marriage Show and took in the stunning late-night views from our balcony. This cruise also included stops in Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, BC, and we had an unforgettable time. If you’re planning an Alaska cruise or wondering what to do in Sitka, this video is for you!
